Overview

AI Studio is where you can create assets using AI for use in your Fable briefings — AI avatars (deepfakes) and custom voices. Once an asset is created in AI Studio, it shows up in the briefing composer for your organization to use.

Alongside AI Studio, every briefing now ships with a library of five built-in voices, an organization-level pronunciation dictionary, and auto-generated closed captions.

Create an Deepfake AI avatar in AI Studio

Record a short video of someone in your organization. AI Studio:

• Trims and processes the recording

• Generates an AI avatar that can lip-sync to any script

• Pairs the avatar with a cloned voice from the same recording

• Adds the avatar to your briefing composer's avatar picker

The avatar is scoped to your organization.

Create a custom voice in AI Studio

If you want a custom voice without an avatar, record a short audio-only sample. AI Studio clones the voice and adds it to your briefing composer's voice selector.

Use AI Studio assets in the composer

Open any briefing in the composer:

• To use a custom avatar: Create a new scene and select any of the in-house avatar ones. Once you do so you will see a drop-down to select the DeepFake avatar you previously created.

• To use a custom voice: select the voice from the briefing's voice selector. Every non-avatar scene in the briefing will be narrated in that voice. Note: avatar scenes use the voice associated with the avatar.

Five built-in voices are available to every briefing without using AI Studio:

• Amber — Warm, confident voice for customer support

• Wes — Friendly male voice for customer conversations

• Ronald — Deep, thoughtful voice for casual chats

• Fiona — Approachable everyday voice

• June — Clear, professional voice

FAQ

Why does avatar / voice creation only work in Chrome?

The recording and trimming flow uses browser APIs that Safari handles inconsistently. AI Studio creation requires Chrome; the rest of Fable works in any modern browser.

What happens if I delete an avatar or voice?

Your existing briefings will not be affected. Any new briefings or edits will not be able to use the deleted avatar or voice.

Can I use someone else's voice or face?

Only with their consent. AI Studio includes a consent checkbox at the start of the recording flow. We don't clone voices or faces of public figures or non-consenting third parties.

How long does avatar / voice processing take?

A few minutes in most cases. The asset will appear in the composer once it's ready.

Can I swap a custom avatar's voice with a different voice?

When you create an avatar, AI Studio pairs it with its own cloned voice. Picking that avatar in a scene automatically uses its paired voice.

How do I get the best avatar quality?

Record straight-on with neutral lighting and 30+ seconds of natural speech. Avoid heavy backlighting and rapid head movement.
